WELDED ASSEMBLAGE SCULPTURE ROBOT BENDING OVER WORK BENCH 1990 TRIBUTE TO FRIEND

Description

Due to Ebay's disinterest in their antiques listings, its destructive changes to the listing categories, and policies related to removal of perceived offensive subject matter, I have closed down my Ebay store and begun to eliminate most listings.  To do this I have reduced the starting bid for almost all my auction items, including this listing.
This unique hand welded iron/steel robot is painted an aluminum color, dated on the bottom 1990 with the initials UTCH, presumably the artist's initials or a place.  The piece is in fine complete condition, nothing missing, measuring approx 12 1/4" H x 8" W x 6" D.  The copper plate on the front of the base states "Cliff Schallhorn", with the name "Stearns" below that and the dates in the middle, 1-13-63 - 2-15-90, assumed to be the birth and death dates of the honored. The work required skill and time to produce this assemblage figure, parts made out of ferrous metal parts showing the seated robot making some object on its workbench.   The sculpture weighs just approx 12 lb 14 oz.  Check out my OTHER ITEMS/SELLER STORE named SAGANGUY LTD.
