    Description

    Here is a Hand Carved Unique Gunning Style Running Root Head Shore Bird Decoy carved by my myself (Sam McKamie). THIS ONE COMES FROM THE MY VERY BEST COLLECTION. It is carved with pocket knife and rasp  from cedar and cypres after I have done the initial sawing and drilling. It is of two piece construction with the head/neck done in a root head style from cypres and the body of cedar. The stand is included. It is stained with a gunning style like those old working decoys of the past. This one measures 14 1/2 inches long, 9 5/8 inches tall and is from 1 1/2 inch stock.
