Marylou Higgins was an American Postwar & Contemporary sculptor whose works were featured in an exhibition at the Racine Art Museum, as well as being offered at auctions multiple times. An  award winning sculpture with pieces in private collections all over the world.
Her later work was predominantly hand-painted and slab work ceramics.
Slab
construction refers to the technique in pottery where clay is rolled into thin sheets to make different shapes. It is a hand building process.
She was represented in numerous galleries throughout the US, from Sol de Rio Gallery in San Antonio, Texas, to Somerhill Gallery in Chapel Hill to Ferrin Gallery in Northampton, Massachusetts.
