  • Condition: Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: Extraordinary & a 1-of-a-kind Latin American, vint, hnd crvd & hnd pntd wdn figurative sculpture, called a 'Dancing Face Mask,' from Guerrero State, Mexico. Incredibly, almost impossibly, it's crvd from a single pc of wd. Feat'd is the image of a red-faced Devil, complete w/auth, real animal horns attached to each side of his forehead. On top of the Devil's image is a gray snake, which curls around the torso & head of the Devil & whose head comes to rest on top of the Devil's nose. To the image of the Devil's R & L are fnd 2 bearded mythological men, perhaps Jesus & Moses, each w/a serpent or 4-legged reptile perched on top of each man's heads & on top of each other, making a veritable totem of slithering, crawling, cold-blooded reptiles, menacing & also seen as possibly protecting the figs upon which they rest. Exquisitely hnd crvd from a single pc of wd, the hnd pntng's 100% orig & absolutely untouched. Pristine & in near museum quality cond.

    Incredibly, almost impossibly, it's carved from a single piece of wood. Featured is the image of a red-faced
