"A Little Devilish
"
This little beastie
measures 3¼
inches
tall. I carved him into a
single
piece
of
1½"x1½" Boxwood. As with all my carvings I had a
rough
idea of what I wanted to carve and started digging in. No drawing
out a design ahead of time, just figuring it out as I went along.
Color was added using thinned oil paints.

This is an original and one-of-a-kind carving made from kiln dried Boxwood.  It is carved using rotary grinding tools and small knives.  Color is added using thinned oil paints and it's finish up with a polyurethane spray.  After more than thirty-five years of woodcarving I still get a kick out of collaborating with Nature to create these crazy characters!
