This is a natural, rare stone from a single source: Anatolia Turkey at a mine (primary purpose was for Bauxite [Aluminum])
.  Known as
Turkish Diaspore
,
the mine owners registered and markets the stone as
Zultanite (R),
only selling top grade, color-changing, clear stones with extraordinary faceting and shapes to show off the stones to their best advantage.
Larger stones show the color-change more readily, I could not get a photo of the subtle color-change on this stone.
JTV is an authorized seller of this stone and that is where I purchased this pear.
There is an
Information sheet from JTV
and a
Certificate of Authenticity card with hologram
with the stone.  The stone have been opened to verify measurements and take photos.  The photos were taken with full spectrum fluorescent light and flash to try to show a sample of the color change.
Current pricing is running ~0 per carat for under one carat.  ~0 a carat for over a carat.  Fancy cutting and exceptional color increases the price.
