This is "Crazy Tedd" the talking horse. Made of recycled materials, cardboard, bits of wood and miscellaneous found objects.
This truly is one WILD work with a TON of personality!! :-) There are layers of paint that shows the time intensive nature of how Hollis makes his art. Sometimes I have seen him layer a painting three or four times because it was "the wrong color"
At local swap meets his sculpture works are very popular but he doesn't make them very often.
This is a special favorite one of mine ❤️
I believe the piece is fairly new but I don't know the exact date of it's creation, so I am listing it as made in 2022.
Tedd will add a punch of southern flavor to any outsider art collection!

Bill Hollis, a native of East Texas and Louisiana Shreveport is a prolific folk artist who has created a vast number of pieces on different mediums, using everything from cloth to clay to wood and canvas. He is known by friends and family as " Crazy Hollis ". It is unknown how many works he has made, estimates are in the thousands.
