Eickhorn Vintage Catalog Printing Plate 9 1/2" Long Mounted on Wood Base

Description

This sale is for a vintage metal printing plate on the original wooden backing that has been mounted on a piece of exotic wood for display.  At the end of the printing plate there is a reverse image of the number "898".  This printing plate was used for the Eickhorn catalog in what the seller believes would be the early 20th century.  Eickhorn was located in Solingen, Germany and was known worldwide for their swords and blades.  Their huge factory was partially destroyed during World War II and rebuilt in the following years.  The back shows evidence of the original paper tag that would have shown this printed image.  The wooden base measures 11 inches in length, 2 inches front to back and 3/4 inch in height. This piece weighs 1 pound 7 ounces.  Study the pictures carefully as there are no returns.  This seller does not ship internationally.
