CORRADO BETTA BRONZE BUST SCULPTURE "L'ALBA" c1900s TURIN, ITALY SIGNEDCorrado Betta was born in 1870 and was a renowned artist from Turin.
Betta was a pupil of master Leonardo Bistolfi at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, and strongly influenced by the same in both style and subject.
Betta distinguished himself with several works, such the Lion heads for the Umberto I bridge in Turin as well as the Bronze works for the
Fallen of Prossedi
, as well as several works and exhibits, including the Art Exhibitions of the Promoter Society of Turin in 1895 with "
My Mother
", in 1900 with "
Outraged
", in 1901 with the bronze "
Alba della Vita
".
Betta's works were destined for the export markets of Europe and the Americas, and feature prominently in many collections and estates around the world.
