Reproduction of the Original Sculpture inspired by Constantin Brancusi's sensuous stone sculpture "The Kiss" which is included in the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Brancusi collection.  This is the 1916 version of "The Kiss" which is the fourth and most geometric version of the sculpture.
"The Kiss" is regarded as perhaps the quintessential representation of love in twentieth century art. With very few anatomical details, he captured the essence of love in this famous work.
Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) was one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century because of his genius to reduce natural forms to an almost abstract simplicity. He introduced Modigliani to the art & he taught Noguchi to carve wood and stone. Henry Moore praised Brancusi's influence on his own work.
Made of crushed stone resin, a material that allows craftspeople to duplicate traditional media, finishes and patina.
