    Contemporary Art Origami Bird Sculpture
    This sculpture depicts a fanciful bird with arched wings. The paper folding technique perfectly executes the shape & texture of the bird's feathers. The enormous wings & rotund body contrasted with the tiny head & miniature tail feathers gives the work has a fun, lighthearted vibe. The tiny google eyes added by the artist give the bird a bit of a confused expression & confirm that the piece is meant to be humorous. The bird's body is constructed as a hollow oval. The sculpture stands on tapered light wood legs attached to a round wood platform. The sculpture is very well-balanced & stands quite firmly. The work is unsigned.
