Glass Screen and lacquered wood Panel- By Jerry Cebe American Glass Artist.Materials & Techniques Three panel, high fashion, black lacquered wood, bronze and crystal screen created by Jerry Cebe, 1987. Known for his commissioned works to celebrity clients as well as collectible production runs, this screen is a one of a kind Cebe creation sold at an art auction at Michael Jackson’s estate in 1987.
Glass inserts (four on each outside panel – 3 on the center panel) made of individual pieces cut and beveled and glued in bronze framed “windows”.
The screen is also framed by one inch etched glass running the length of the outside edges of the outer panels and along the tops of all three panels. This is the only screen ever produced by Jerry Cebe and while one of a kind, the largest of the glass inserts was adapted to create a fashion award presented by former San Francisco department store, I Magnin, to a designer each year. Recipients included Donna Karan and Coco Chanel, for example. Date the piece was created: 1987
